Homemade Irish Cream

Published 12/15/2012

Want to be a hit at your holiday party?  Make this amazing and indulgent treat and bring it as a gift for the host!  Hopefully they open it up right then for all to enjoy!

Everything is measured out of the can of condensed milk (usually about 14 oz) so do not throw it out the empty can!

  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk (or coconut milk)
  • 1 can heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 can cold coffee or espresso
  • 1/2 can egg yolks (optional)
  • 1 1/2 can whiskey (or more for the hearty folks)
  • 2-3 scoops cocoa powder
Mix everything into a blender and pour into a resealable bottle (I got some at Christmas tree shop and I saw some at Hobby Lobby).  It will get foamy so make sure you do not over fill at first, then wait until it settles so you can pour the rest in! I usually buy a big handle of whiskey and a few cans of condensed milk so this way I can make a few bottles of out it!  Don’t forget to taste as you go to make sure it’s the right balance of booze and deliciousness!  We will be making some Island Irish Cream this year featuring coconut milk in lieu of condensed.  Enjoy!
