Bold r Dash Recap - Barefoot Edition

About 7 weeks ago a bunch of clients, friends, family and I met up at Neutaconkanut Hill Park in Providence in preparation for the Inagural Bold R Dash, a military style 5k at RI’s only operable ski resort, Yawgoo Valley. The details of the obstacles were mostly mysterious until just days before the event, so Team LbF (aka Neuty Pictures) did our best to prepare by using the hills and other surroundings at Neuty, the sand dunes, and Brown St Park. We spent a lot of time practicing our uphill running technique and several other skills we hoped would translate on “race” day.

Here’s another addition to the “nothing better than a RI summer” file. Friday night was rainy and gray but stood no chance at deterring me from sailing away to Block Island for Round 2 of care free times. Since the legs were still a little heavy from hitting the sand dunes with the Bold R Dashteam, I just wanted to leisurely ride to a secluded beach and have a lazy Saturday.

You know it’s a pretty active weekend when the Save the Bay Swim from Newport to Jamestown is a side note! Three hours after swimming across the finish line, I hopped on the ferry for a weekend of active relaxation and care-free times.
